Born and raised in Quito, Ecuador, Andrés Hidalgo E. earned a BA in Liberal Arts and a Minor in photography from Universidad San Francisco de Quito (2013).  His work has been exhibited in several cities of his home country, Turkey and the United States. He obtained a MFA in photography at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts Boston and Tufts University (2015).

His work focuses on conceptual, satirical and hybridization topics to create a wide variety of metaphors, oddities and references that both allow his public to have fun as well question deeply the content of his pictures.
